Hillsborough County Public Schools has 46 middle schools and 27 high schools, which have a library media center staffed by a certified media specialist. The job of the library media specialist is varied and includes; program administration, teaching and collaborating with teachers, using and supporting technology, information literacy, and promoting and reinforcing students' interests and abilities in reading, listening and viewing.
